Overview

A warm and whimsical pattern collection inspired by autumn’s inviting charm. The series blends cozy seasonal motifs with expressive character illustrations to capture the playful spirit of fall.

Process

This collection was created for a textile company, with a focus on Halloween-inspired custom and DIY projects. I began by sketching the compositions and identifying the key elements I wanted to highlight across the patterns. The goal was to develop an expressive visual style that combines iconic fall motifs with charming illustrated characters.

The patterns feature a mix of cute ghosts, walking teapots, bubbling cauldrons, hat-wearing creatures, and pets dressed in ghost costumes, each added to give the series a strong sense of personality. For the palette, I drew inspiration from classic autumn tones, working with browns, mustard yellows, muted greens, and soft neutrals. These earthy colors help balance the playful, whimsical nature of the illustrations.

The final collection explores different compositions and arrangements, aiming to reflect the richness and comfort of the fall season while offering versatile designs suited for textiles and themed craft projects.
